The Associate of Science degree program in Paralegal lays a solid foundation of legal framework for the students and exposes them to civil law and litigation, criminal law and adversarial process, family law and property, transactional law, business law, estate planning and probate, administrative law and alternate dispute resolution. Students of this program will also learn to conduct discovery work, gather and organize evidence, do legal research and writing, and use electronic technology to prepare files, store documents, and file them electronically in court. The program also emphasizes career development, professionalism and ethics.
