Paralegal
Paralegals are important members of legal teams and law office staff.
The Anthem College Online Paralegal program provides students with a solid foundation in the legal process. They are introduced to different types of law including civil, criminal, business, and family law. They are taught the fundamentals of legal research and discovery and get hands-on experience working with LexisNexis.
Graduates of our online Paralegal program receive the Associate of Science degree. They are prepared to compete for a variety of entry-level positions in the legal field with law firms, corporate legal departments, banks, insurance companies, and government offices.
While law firms continue to dominate as employers for the paralegal professionals, more are finding opportunities elsewhere. For example, businesses looking to reduce costs in their legal departments hire paralegals to handle tasks that attorneys may have handled in the past. The emergence of prepaid legal plans is also expected to increase the demand for paralegal-type services.
Students who study for a paralegal degree with Anthem College Online have more flexibility to decide when and from where to attend classes. They can log in to class from any secure Internet connection. While they do have to follow a schedule to complete class attendance and assignments, the option to complete attend school within their own time constraints lets them meet job and/or family responsibilities.
