Do you like working with technology? Did you know that the healthcare field is using more technology than ever before?
Anthem College Online offers a Health Information Management Associate of Science degree that trains students to work with technology used in medical offices.
Concentration course cover clinical and administrative topics including human body systems (anatomy, physiology), medical terminology, and medical office supervision. Other courses focus on health information and data management, reimbursement methods and procedures, and compliance.
A “capstone” course puts students in a virtual medical office where they practice their skills in real-life situations—on a computer.
Students also take courses from a core curriculum that includes general education courses. These are practical courses that provide education and training in general office and life skills and include computer applications, psychology, and composition. A career success course teaches students personal financial and time management, and how to recognize and act upon career opportunities.
Program graduates can compete for entry-level jobs such as medical coder, health information services clerk, clinical data analyst, statistics & research coordinator, and billing & reimbursement specialist.
Anthem College Online gives students more flexibility to decide when to attend class and work on assignments. They can log in around the clock from any secure Internet portal to attend classes that use video and interactive tools that keeps them interested and engaged in learning. They also connect and talk with professors and other students online in discussion forums.
