The Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. High Tech Institute was approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education ("Bureau"). The Bureau became inoperatitve on July 1, 2007. Assembly bill 1525, enacted as Chapter 67, Statutes of 2007, effective July 12, 2007, provided authority to the Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs to enter into voluntary agreements with institutions that had, as of June 30, 2007 a valid approval to operate. The voluntary agreement states that the institution agrees to comply with state statutes, rules and regulations in effect as of the close of business on June 30, 2007.
